We are looking for MTech students interested in urban-flood modelling to contribute to the ongoing research on climate resilience in Bengaluru. This research will support the project on ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) for Bengaluru city. Responsibilities Collect and analyse spatial and temporal data on Bengaluru s urban hydrology, including rainfall patterns, drainage networks, and land use and land cover, using publicly available data, such as IMD, CWC, and other gridded datasets. Develop, calibrate, and validate urban-flood models using SWMM, HEC-RAS, or GIS-based hydrological tools. Examine historical flood events, assess their impact on urban communities and ecosystems, and simulate flood scenarios under various climate change projections (e.g., RCP scenarios) to assess future flood risks. Document methodologies, findings, and insights (including data analysis, model outcomes, and actionable recommendations for flood risk mitigation) in a comprehensive report. Qualifications A master s degree student in climate science, hydrology, environmental engineering, urban planning, or related fields. Experience in hydrological models and GIS mapping. Skill Set Hands-on experience in hydrological and flood-modelling tools (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, MIKE FLOOD) Familiarity with different climate-data sets and climate-data analysis. Well-versed in GIS-based spatial analysis (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS). Knowledge of Python/R for hydrological modelling. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.

Our Highway Drainage team in India is looking for a driven Senior Engineer with background in Urban/Rail/ Highway drainage for Infrastructure projects. By joining our team, you will have the chance to work on exciting and engaging multi-disciplinary projects and utilize your Drainage design expertise to serve as a Senior team member on transportation related projects. We will give you the opportunity to work with various disciplines to efficiently complete the design on schedule. You will work with an experienced and innovative Lead Drainage engineer or Design Manager, as well as gain experience working with our clients / contractor partners to solve their most challenging problems. Experience in drainage network planning and detailed hydraulic designs, report and drawing preparation and checking for drains, with ability to analyze and solve drainage-related problems.
