Position Overview Under general supervision, create and sustain technical information on existing and new products, performance and applications. Provide field services to customers. Oversee the operation of pilot units for customers. Conduct product root-cause analysis, recommend corrective measure and collaborate with customer to implement those improvements. Write technical product specifications. Provide feedback on competitors’ product performance. Principal Duties And Responsibilities Provides technical support to Sales & Marketing staff as well as customers in regard to company’s products, applications and systems operation. Creates and writes technical information on organization’s product specifications and product bulletins. Collaborates with customers with system start-up, operation and maintenance, including providing technical training to customers on system operation. Builds business relationships which benefit Hydranautics strategic sales plan. Resolves routine customer issues relating to product application and end-user. Evaluates competition performance and communicates data to keep marketing department apprised of competitive product performance. Participates in the evaluation of returned products relative to field operations. Satisfies contractual requirements as specified in the contract and as it relates to Municipal projects. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Skills, Experience Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or comparable; 6 years’ experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years in commissioning water treatment plants, a plus Experience in Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) or A&E companies, a plus. Working knowledge of water chemistry concepts, fluid flow and water pressure as well as analytical method and technical writing; above average understanding of Reverse Osmosis, Ultrafiltration and Microfiltration processes and products. Working knowledge of plant processes, RO, NF and UF with practical application to the field. Solid understanding of the construction and manufacture of Spiral Wound elements and Capillary modules, modes of failure of membrane systems, and the effects of cleaning chemicals on the products. Ability to conduct analytical evaluations and identify root causes of failures and recommend corrective actions to improve product performance. Strong multi-tasking skills, flexibility in responding to rapidly changing, dynamic processes and demands/pressures in a fast-paced environment. Strong ability to verbally communicate across functional organizational groups, provide high-level customer service through effective interpersonal skills and conflict resolution. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite software applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Read, understand and generate P&ID and PFD drawings. Travel for extended periods and work with a flexible schedule. Position Overview Under limited supervision, provide administrative support in the areas of administration, purchasing, and marketing. Process purchases orders accurately and concisely. Follow documented procedures and work instructions to ensure processes are adhered to. Communicate with organizational teams to ensure they have the most up to date information to provide exemplary service for our customers. Coordinate Marketing trade shows domestically and internationally. Demonstrate capability of accomplishing a variety of multiple functions in different areas with flexibility, adaptability and using critical analytical skills with a positive attitude. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience & Certificates Coordinates and enters purchase orders for the drop shipment of finished good products. Coordinates trade shows and manage domestic shipments to transfer products and material to events. Collaborates with various vendors and suppliers to facilitate the operational needs of Marketing department. Manages Marketing Inventory and complete intermittent reconciliation of marketing items and materials. Communicates clearly to empower others with the most recent information verbally and in writing regarding Hydranautics and Nitto products. Processes payments from suppliers and internal expense payments. Ensures relevant approvals for payments. Coordinates travel arrangements for required personnel in the international office. Oversees daily miscellaneous office duties including processing payments to bank. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field and three (3) years’ directly related experience in administration, purchasing and/or marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of water industry concepts, a plus. Working knowledge of general standard business practices incorporating administration, purchasing, and marketing. Ability to work independently and with a wide variety of staff, departments, languages, and cultures. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and enterprise software such as JD Edwards. Solid understanding of basic, inventory, purchasing, logistics, and customer service concepts. Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of organizational accuracy, excellent attention to detail, problem analysis and problem resolution skills. Basic understanding of math including addition, subtraction, and division capabilities. Work independently and foster a cooperative team spirit within a large and/or small team environment. Ability to multi-task with flexibility in responding to rapidly changing, dynamic processes and demands; effectively prioritize based on critical and urgent needs. Understand and follow standard company operating and safety procedures. Certificates in Administration, Purchasing or Marketing, a plus.
