General Summary: As a Support Engineer at Qualcomm, you will play a vital role in improving product quality and sustaining the product development lifecycle by resolving technical system issues that enhance product reliability. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, providing support from initial concept through project completion, with ample opportunities for professional growth. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of Support Engineering or related experience, OR Associate's degree with 4+ years of related experience, OR High School Diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of related experience. Advanced degrees can substitute for up to two years of experience. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field. Certification in Electronics or related area. Military experience (E6+ rank) in electronics is a plus. 5+ years troubleshooting digital hardware, software, and/or analog RF issues. 5+ years of lab environment experience. 2+ years in leadership roles, including interacting with senior leadership. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Lead support activities for system integration and development support across project phases. Advise engineering teams on design approaches, layouts, and parameters; participate in design reviews. Monitor product performance, analyze failures, and recommend corrective actions. Gather, analyze, and disseminate data and technical information to support problem-solving. Manage project components, priorities, and deliverables across multiple or large projects. Collaborate across functions to ensure project integration and component compatibility. Level of Responsibility: Works independently and provides guidance to team members. Makes decisions impacting beyond immediate team. Communicates complex information effectively, including negotiation and influencing skills. Exercises moderate influence over organizational decisions, consulting senior leadership as needed. Requires strong planning, problem-solving, and prioritization skills in a dynamic environment.
