HVAC Mechanical Engineer

**Job Description:** **Role Overview:** As a Critical Environment Mechanical Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of critical facilities, labs, and data centers. Your responsibilities will include promoting a culture of safety, managing ongoing engineering maintenance support, collaborating with construction teams, providing technical guidance to HVAC technicians, and optimizing operational efficiency. **Key Responsibilities:** - Demonstrate a strong desire and capability to learn, grow, and develop new skills - Promote a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all critical labs and data center activities - Take overall responsibility for the safe operation of facilities - Manage ongoing critical engineering maintenance support to pre-defined SLAs - Collaborate with Construction and Commissioning team to integrate new mechanical systems - Provide technical guidance to HVAC technicians and team members - Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for HVAC systems - Test HVAC system performance and make necessary adjustments - Support and validate critical room operations related to mechanical infrastructure - Act as the mechanical subject matter expert for on-site operations - Establish and coordinate maintenance and safety operating procedures for maintaining highly redundant mechanical designs - Empower operational optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives **Qualification Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field - 10+ years of strong technical engineering experience - Extensive experience with facility environments, including HVAC systems, cooling towers, fire suppression systems, security, and control systems - Hands-on experience with energy audits and recommending energy-efficient solutions - Knowledge of construction techniques, documentation, and building management systems - Certification in Energy Management, HVAC Design & Operations, or BMS Operation preferred **Additional Details:** Qualcomm India Private Limited is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing accessible processes for individuals with disabilities.
