Role & responsibilities supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance technicians (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, biomedical support, etc.) Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment, systems, and infrastructure. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and building regulations. Maintain records of maintenance schedules, service logs, and work orders. Liaise with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services. Monitor the performance of utilities systems (generators, HVAC, water, electrical) and initiate corrective action as needed. Support emergency response systems (fire alarms, sprinkler systems, backup generators). Train and mentor maintenance team members to ensure high-quality service and adherence to protocols. Manage maintenance budget and inventory of supplies, tools, and spare parts. Conduct regular inspections and audits of facility systems and report deficiencies to the Facilities Manager. Preferred candidate profile Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related technical field. Minimum 5 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting. Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment maintenance, and healthcare facility standards. Familiarity with healthcare-specific regulations and accreditation standards (e.g., NABH, JCI). Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
