HVAC Electrician

Job Summary

The HVAC Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems related to HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) equipment. The role ensures safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of HVAC systems in compliance with company standards and safety regulations.

HVAC Technician Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control panels, motors, and components of HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in HVAC units such as AHUs, FCUs, chillers, VRF/VRV systems, split and package units.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and HVAC control schematics.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
• Diagnose and rectify issues in thermostats, sensors, VFDs, MCC panels, and control circuits.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, company SOPs, and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate with HVAC technicians, mechanical teams, and supervisors during installation and breakdown maintenance.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdown reports, and spare parts usage.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working practices at all times.
• Qualifications & Experience:
• Mini 12th standard pass,ITI in Electrician / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / HVAC Technician2–5 years of experience as an HVAC Electrician or similar role.
• Experience in industrial, commercial, or facility management environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC electrical systems and controls.
• Hands-on experience with control wiring, starters, relays, contactors, and VFDs.
• Ability to use electrical testing instruments (multimeter, megger, clamp meter, etc.).
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of PLC and BMS systems is an added advantage.
• Understanding of safety procedures and electrical codes.
