Job Description

An HVAC Design Engineer/Draughtsman designs, develops, and installs heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring comfort and energy efficiency in buildings . They perform load calculations, select equipment, create designs and specifications, and collaborate with other professionals to integrate HVAC systems into overall building designs. Role & responsibilities Design and Development: Develop HVAC systems for various building types, considering factors like energy efficiency, comfort, and client needs. Load Calculations: Determine heating and cooling requirements for buildings, factoring in factors like square footage, usage hours, and energy costs. Equipment Selection: Choose appropriate HVAC equipment, including chillers, AHU (Air Handling Units) pumps, boilers, etc., based on project requirements and specifications. CAD Drawings: Create detailed HVAC system layouts and design drawings using CAD software. Documentation: Prepare detailed plans, specifications, and technical reports for client approval. Collaboration: Work with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate HVAC systems into the overall building design. Project Supervision: Oversee HVAC system installation and commissioning, ensuring proper functioning and compliance with codes. Compliance: Ensure all designs meet local building codes and regulations.
