HVAC Design Engineer

The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a key competence center comprising over 3000 skilled engineers. Our team focuses on various aspects such as tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation, and commissioning. Over the last decade, the INOPC has transformed into the largest Operations hub. Our dedicated team in Chennai, Bangalore, and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries across a diverse portfolio of the company's four business units. To date, we have successfully executed engineering and commissioning for projects spanning over 80 countries. As an HVAC Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will play a crucial role in analyzing customer specifications to ensure that our solutions align with their requirements. You will leverage your expertise in HVAC System Design to optimize performance and enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, you will provide technical evaluations of supplier proposals, review drawings and documents to comply with local regulations, and coordinate with various departments such as Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and MEP. Your responsibilities will include efficiently coordinating with the Project/Tender team to identify risks and opportunities, ensuring compliance with HSE and quality standards, and collaborating with Building Management Systems and other interfaces. To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC Designs. Proficiency in CFD Analysis using market-available software, knowledge of Revit Modelling in Civil/Architectural aspects, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
