Cable Design Engineer LV/MV/HV Use your knowledge to design cables for a greener world Are you keen on working with the newest innovation within the power cable industry? We are looking for a new colleague to the R&D team, who can contribute to NKT being the preferred cable supplier for all customers. Contribute to creating and maintaining the design of cables Working in the intersection between business, technology, and production, you will collaborate closely with Technical Sales Engineering, Production, and Quality in creating the data basis for the production of cables. This includes preparation of production documentation from specifications, material master data, and test routings. You will contribute to a safe and positive work environment ensuring compliance of cables with standards, and customer and legislative requirements. Other responsibilities and tasks will be to: Optimize cable designs Assist in developing new cables Support Technical Sales Engineering and Sales in offers and tenders Initiate and follow up on different kinds of tests Practical problem-solving attitude We are looking for technical talent, perhaps with a couple of years of experience in development and project management. You can recognize yourself as being a curious, open-minded, and self-going personality. As you will be part of a R&D team spread at all our production sites, you will need good communication skills. Together with your structured and detail-oriented approach, this will make you an important part of our team. Furthermore, your CV will include: Bachelor's of Electrical Engineering 3+ years experience with cable system design (HV/MV/LV) Preferably CYMCAP / any other cable design software Cable knowledge is of course a benefit General IT skills, like Microsoft Office Proficient problem-solving skills Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders Contact and application NKT is committed to fostering a diverse organization and a culture where people from different backgrounds can thrive and are inspired to perform at their best.
