The Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Management will provide visionary leadership, academic excellence, and operational management for all programs under Sports Sciences, Sports Management, Human Performance, Applied Neuroscience, Sports Technology, Sports Psychology, and related disciplines. The Dean will be responsible for shaping the Faculty into a global leader in sports education, research, innovation, and industry engagement. This role requires a dynamic academic leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, the ability to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and the drive to position the faculty as a hub for cutting-edge knowledge, world-class research, and impactful partnerships with sports organizations, governing bodies, and industries worldwide. Key Responsibilities: Academic Leadership Provide strategic direction and academic leadership for the Faculty in alignment with the Universitys vision and global best practices. Ensure high-quality teaching, curriculum development, and accreditation compliance across all programs (undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral). Drive innovation in pedagogy, integrating sports technology, analytics, and applied neuroscience into sports sciences and management curricula. Champion interdisciplinary research in sports science, psychology, technology, and management. Research & Innovation Lead the Facultys research agenda with measurable outcomes in high-impact journals, patents, and applied industry projects. Establish research centers of excellence in sports technology, performance sciences, and management innovation. Secure national and international research grants and partnerships. Encourage faculty and student involvement in pioneering, socially relevant, and industry-driven research. Industry & Global Engagement Develop strong collaborations with sports federations, professional clubs, sports medicine organizations, fitness and wellness industries, and government bodies. Position the Faculty as a thought leader in sports policy, management, and innovation globally. Build strategic alliances with top international universities and sports institutes to enhance student/faculty exchange, joint research, and dual-degree opportunities. Administration & Governance Oversee academic programs, faculty recruitment, resource allocation, and overall faculty performance. Ensure compliance with accreditation, regulatory frameworks, and university standards. Manage budgets, resources, and fundraising initiatives to sustain growth. Cultivate a diverse, inclusive, and high-performance academic culture. Student Success & Community Impact Create pathways for student employability, entrepreneurship, and professional success in global sports ecosystems. Promote student engagement in competitions, conferences, research, and leadership development. Build initiatives that extend faculty expertise to the community, such as grassroots sports programs, performance labs, and wellness initiatives. Qualifications & Experience: Essential: PhD in Sports Sciences, Sports Management, Human Performance, or related discipline. Minimum 1015 years of academic and leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior administrative role (Dean/Associate Dean/Director). Strong record of peer-reviewed publications, research grants, and recognized contributions to sports sciences and management. Proven ability to lead large academic units with strategic vision and operational effectiveness. Demonstrated international exposure and networks in academia, sports organizations, and industry.
