Industry: Manufacturing / Engineering / Industrial Experience: 2-4 years (preferred in precision machining or Motor Manufacturing) Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Job Overview: We are looking for a hands-on, technically strong Production Supervisor to lead and manage our factory floor operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in machining, the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, and should be well-versed in GD&T. Experience in jig and fixture development and the ability to coordinate with vendors is essential. Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily shop floor activities and ensure smooth execution of production schedules. Interpret and work from mechanical drawings and technical specifications to guide production processes. Ensure all machining processes meet dimensional and tolerance standards, using GD&T principles. Coordinate and follow up with vendors for timely procurement of materials, outsourced jobs, and other resources. Provide technical guidance in the design and development of jigs, fixtures, and tooling for production. Monitor machining operations to ensure quality and efficiency in output. Identify production bottlenecks and work proactively to resolve them. Maintain proper documentation and reporting of production metrics. Implement continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor to reduce downtime and increase productivity. Candidate Requirements: Strong ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, including tolerances, symbols, and assembly layouts. In-depth knowledge of machining processes (CNC, milling, turning, etc.). Practical knowledge and application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Prior hands-on experience in developing and using jigs and fixtures. Proven ability to coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and subcontractors. Excellent communication and team management skills. Attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving ability. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with CAD/CAM software. Exposure to ISO/quality systems. Lean manufacturing principles. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician / Fitter for our motor manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will have an ITI qualification in Mechanical or Electrical stream, with a strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings. The role involves assembling motor components, ensuring quality, and collaborating effectively with team members on the production floor. Key Responsibilities Assemble motors and related components according to mechanical drawings and standard operating procedures. Interpret engineering drawings, assembly layouts, and specifications accurately. Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to carry out precise assembly tasks. Follow safety and quality standards strictly throughout the assembly process. Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and quality teams to ensure timely production. Identify and report defects or discrepancies in components or drawings. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the workstation. Qualifications & Skills Minimum Qualification: ITI in Mechanical or Electrical (Fitter, Electrician, Motor Mechanic, etc.) Experience: 1–3 years in a similar assembly role preferred (freshers with good technical knowledge may also apply) Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and symbols. Familiarity with hand tools, torque tools, and measurement instruments. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Good attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing setup. Work Environment Factory-floor based role with standing and manual handling involved. Shift-based work may be applicable as per production schedules.
