As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the AI/ML & Data Platform teams, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are a core technical contributor, responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. You will execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems. Furthermore, you will develop secure high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others. Identifying opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture. Additionally, you will lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies, while contributing to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills include formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience. You should understand architecture and design principles across all systems, collaborate effectively with high-performing teams and individuals to achieve common goals, and be skilled in various UI technologies such as HTML4/5, XHTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Angular/ReactJS, Redux, JSX, ES6 or TypeScript, Sass/Less, JSON, cross-browser compatibility, responsive web design, and accessibility standards. Proficiency in NodeJS, ExpressJS, and tools like GULP/GRUNT/NPM/Yarn/Webpack/Babel is required, along with understanding software skills including business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills include familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies.,
