Assistant Manager- Accounts mohali 2 - 4 years INR 3.0 - 7.0 Lacs P.A. Remote Full Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager - Accounts to oversee and ensure timely financial finalization for multiple clients, manage tax compliance, and support month-end and year-end closing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively in a dynamic international environment. Key Responsibilities: Ensure timely financial finalization for all assigned clients, adhering to deadlines. Oversee the filing of all applicable tax returns well before due dates to ensure compliance. Perform and review month-end close processes, including preparation of necessary journal entries with adequate supporting documentation. Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations within set deadlines and assist the team in resolving unreconciled items promptly. Prepare and submit accurate reports to relevant authorities (e.g., Quarterly/Monthly VAT, HST, GST, Sales tax returns). Finalize year-end audit working papers and coordinate with auditors during audit processes. Undertake special projects and tasks as required by management. Review and finalize variance analysis reports with detailed commentary. Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations. Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate finalization. Qualifications & Skills: Chartered Accountant qualification (CPA, ICAEW, ACCA, or equivalent) OR CA Inter certification. 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience within a multinational organization. Working knowledge of country-specific GAAP (UK, US, Canada), with IFRS knowledge considered a strong plus. Familiarity with CaseWare is advantageous. Basic understanding of local taxation laws, especially sales tax (e.g., VAT for UK, GST/HST for Canada) is preferred. Proficient in double-entry bookkeeping concepts. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to work standard business hours based on the supported location. Proven ability to manage strict deadlines and prioritize workload efficiently. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, or Xero is desirable but not mandatory. Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented and organized. Strong problem-solving skills. Team player with the ability to work independently. Adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.
