Job Title: Plant HR Manager – Foundry Operations Location: Rajkot, Gujrat - 360003 Department: Human Resources Reporting To: Plant Head / Head – Human Resources Experience Required: 8–12 years (preferably in foundry or heavy manufacturing) Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant HR Manager to lead HR operations for our foundry unit . The ideal candidate should have a strong background in industrial HR management within a manufacturing/foundry environment, with hands-on experience in managing statutory compliance , employee engagement , audits (ISO, IATF, SEDEX) , and training & development initiatives. The role demands a balance between strategic thinking and operational execution to ensure workforce efficiency, compliance, and a positive work culture. Key Responsibilities: 1. HR Operations & Compliance: Manage end-to-end HR functions for the plant including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and exit formalities. Ensure statutory compliance with labor laws (ESIC, PF, Factory Act, etc.). Handle disciplinary issues and ensure timely resolution of grievances. 2. Audit & Certification Management: Lead and support audits such as ISO 9001 , IATF 16949 , SEDEX , and customer-specific audits. Prepare HR-related documentation and evidence required for audits. Coordinate with internal departments for compliance and corrective action tracking. 3. Employee Relations & Engagement: Promote employee engagement through planned initiatives and open communication channels. Maintain healthy industrial relations with shop-floor workforce and union (if applicable). Conduct periodic town halls, feedback sessions, and employee satisfaction surveys. 4. Training & Development: Identify skill gaps and design training calendars tailored to foundry operations (safety, quality, productivity, etc.). Conduct induction programs, compliance training, and mandatory skill training as per IATF requirements. Maintain training records and evaluate training effectiveness. 5. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Collaborate with EHS department to ensure safety norms and hygiene standards are followed. Drive awareness on workplace safety and compliance to legal health/safety requirements. 6. HR Strategy & Data Management: Maintain and analyze HR MIS, attrition trends, absenteeism, manpower productivity, etc. Contribute to strategic HR planning for manpower optimization and talent retention. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Engineering preferred); MBA/PGDM in HR is a must. 8+ years of experience in HR, with at least 3–5 years in a foundry or heavy manufacturing unit. Thorough understanding of HR functions, labor laws, and compliance frameworks. Hands-on experience with ISO, IATF, SEDEX and related audits. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. Proficiency in HRMS tools and MS Office. Good to Have Experience working in a tech company or with a SaaS product. Exposure to tools like Figma, JIRA, Trello, Confluence, or similar. Understanding of product lifecycle and agile methodologies.
