As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications. You will prioritize testing activities, manage test data effectively, and execute test cases meticulously while accurately reporting defects. It will be your duty to define severity and priority for each identified defect to ensure timely resolution and conduct thorough regression testing to guarantee system stability after updates or changes. Your role will involve analyzing business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to understand testing requirements. You will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure testability. Additionally, participating in backlog refinement sessions to gain a deep understanding of data privacy requirements and controls will be crucial. It is essential to accurately document and track defects using appropriate defect tracking tools and work closely with development teams for timely defect resolution. Furthermore, you will provide detailed defect reports and analysis to stakeholders, contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies. Ensuring that testing is meaningfully integrated into the development lifecycle will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. You will collect information and review documents to understand testing needs from an end-to-end user perspective and leverage ITIL knowledge to support incident and problem management processes for system stability and uptime. Required Skills And Experience: - Minimum of 5 years of overall experience in software testing. - Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in preparing, developing, and executing test cases. - Proven ability to conduct regression testing and defect reporting. - Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment. Desired Skills: - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. - Knowledge of ITIL framework. - Experience with HRIT systems like Workday, SAP HR, Oracle HCM.,
