HP Arcsight Information Security Incident Management

As a Senior Systems Engineer at our company, your role will involve monitoring and analyzing information security events using tools such as ArcSight. Your key responsibilities will include: - Monitoring and analyzing security events in central tools like ArcSight and unconnected systems on a regular basis - Developing and refining detective controls based on input from Information Security Investigation Coordinators - Controlling the effectiveness of preventive and detective measures - Developing and reporting metrics for the overall information security situation - Initiating information security incident tickets, triggering escalation processes if required, and performing initial counter-measures - Supporting the Information Security Incident Response Team with real-time information on current developments Qualifications required for this role include: - Graduate degree in computer sciences or comparable education and knowledge - At least 5+ years of working experience in ArcSight - Experience with security monitoring tools and devices such as IDS/IPS, AV scanners, security gateways, and SIEM solutions - Capability to cope with high workloads and pressure Additionally, preferred technical skills and soft skills include: - Knowledge of network and infrastructure security - Good communication skills and self-organization - Strong analytical mind - Highly motivated to cooperate in a multi-cultural and diverse environment Preferred tools for this role include ArcSight, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Qualys, and Fire Eye.
