Job Description

Role & responsibilities Report on time for the assigned shift in immaculate uniform and abiding with the grooming standards. Responsible for the keys /pagers/mobile phones being handed over to him/her and ensuring that they are signed in and out for. Responsible for the safety and security of his/ her assigned are of work and must adhere to the laid Ensure to daily change soiled linens on beds and remake beds. Strictly follow the lost and found procedures. Ensuring that all rooms are checked and serviced by 1600hrs daily except for DND, DL and refused service rooms. Responsible for equipping all rooms with linen, amenities in the guest rooms as per the standards. Report malfunctioning of equipment to the supervisor and ensure they are attended to. Making a daily discrepancy report and informing all discrepancies like extra beds, scanty baggage, number of occupants to the Supervisor-Housekeeping in order to ensure correct billing and control skippers. Servicing all rooms in the order specified i.e. Vacant, departures and occupied rooms. Responsible for handling Housekeeping desk efficiently by co-coordinating with concerned persons as well as constant follow up by acting as information and transmitting center for all communications within and outside the department. Ensure all messages are handled with utmost importance and action taken Ensure all guest messages and queries are handled promptly Ensure all issue and receipt of keys are accounted for and acknowledged Ensure all registers and records are updated. Attending all guest requests promptly and courteously and keeping guest needs and preferences in mind while servicing rooms. Coordinating with engineering for maintenance of rooms, guest corridors and service areas. Using all electrical equipment as per the laid down procedures and ensure that no equipment is misused. Ensuring that the floor pantries and service equipment are clean and well stored at the end of each shift. To follow all SOPs for the linen, uniform room or Housekeeping desk if assigned to any of these areas.
