Housekeeper

Housekeeper Job Duties:

· He should execute the work under the direction of housekeeping/ laundry supervisor and the requests of the nursing staff, in emergency situations.

· He should ensure the appearance and cleaning of hospital interior throughout.

· He should have constant alertness to needed repairs and make out requests.

· He should follow the cleaning procedures.

· He should subject to emergency call, on off duty hours.

· He should handle appliances, equipment and cleaning chemicals in a safe manner.

· He should have the capacity to clean the patient rooms.

· He should maintain and proper use and maintenance of supplies and equipment used in performing housekeeping duties.

· He should keep all containers labeled.

· He should perform all other related duties.

· He should understand the Infection Control Policies and Procedures and Safety Policies and procedures.

· He should understand the hazardous communication program be familiar with all Material Safety Data Sheets and abide by the Procedures.

· He should be flexible and able to work in an environment that has frequent and multiple interruptions, which is stressful at times.

· He should follow department policy and procedures.

Allowance are also provided for changing dippers.
