Job Summary: The Deputy Technical Manager – Home Appliance will support the Technical Manager in leading the design, development, testing, and quality assurance of home appliance products. The role involves managing technical teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, supporting production and after-sales teams, and driving continuous improvement in product performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities: * Product Development & Engineering * Assist in managing the end-to-end technical development of home appliance products (e.g., refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, microwaves, etc.). * Support product design reviews, prototype development, and validation testing. * Coordinate with R&D, design, and production teams for smooth product launches. * Team Leadership * Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians. * Delegate tasks and ensure timely completion of technical projects. * Provide technical training and support to internal teams. * Quality & Compliance * Ensure products comply with relevant international and local safety and quality standards (e.g., IEC, ISO, RoHS, CE, etc.). * Work closely with quality assurance and service teams to resolve field failures. * Technical Support * Provide technical support to manufacturing, procurement, and after-sales service departments. * Coordinate with suppliers for component validation and improvements. * Continuous Improvement * Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality. * Analyze market feedback and suggest product enhancements. Support energy efficiency, sustainability, and innovation goals. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering (Master’s preferred). Experience : * 5–8 years of relevant experience in the home appliance industry. * Experience in managing technical teams and coordinating cross-functional projects. Skills : * Strong knowledge of home appliance product design, components, and standards. * Familiarity with CAD/CAE tools and product lifecycle management systems. * Good understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics. * Excellent communication, leadership, and project management abilities. * Preferred Certifications: * ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 familiarity * Working Conditions: Office-based with regular visits to production lines, labs, and supplier facilities. May require occasional travel for vendor audits, factory trials, or international training.
