Role Overview
We are looking for a high-impact QA Manager/Senior Manager to lead a 15-member manual testing team and 3 Scrum Masters for our Bangalore based office(Silk Board).This role is central to establishing consistent quality practices, enabling strong cross-functional collaboration, and representing QA at the organisational and customer levels.The right candidate is a people leader, a process enabler, and a customer-facing quality champion who can drive predictable, scalable, and audit-ready QA outcomes.Experience in Travel Tech and GDS systems is a strong advantage, enabling faster domain alignment but strong QA leadership and learning agility are equally valued.
Key Responsibilities
QA Leadership & Delivery Ownership :
- Lead a large QA organisation (15 manual testers + 3 Scrum Masters).
- Own test planning, execution governance, quality gates, and release readiness.
- Build a culture of accountability, predictability, and disciplined QA execution.
- Ensure zero-slippage mindset for regression, UAT, and production quality.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Quality Integration
- Work closely with Automation and Performance teams to create a unified, end-to-end quality framework.
- Ensure manual, automation, and performance strategies align with product priorities and release plans.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Support, and DevOps to eliminate quality gaps early in the lifecycle.
Customer Communication & Quality Representation
- Represent QA in customer-facing meetings across requirement discussions, UAT alignment, release communication, and post-release reviews.
- Provide concise, data-driven quality insights, risks, and action plans.
- Build credibility with customers by demonstrating depth in process, metrics, and domain.
People Leadership & Capability Building
- Coach and develop QA engineers; build strong leads within the team.
- Drive hiring, onboarding, role clarity, performance management, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, test excellence, and domain ownership.
Process Excellence, Metrics & Compliance
- Establish and enforce QA standards, risk-based testing, test traceability, and defect management workflows.
- Define and report meaningful quality metrics test coverage, DRE, defect leakage, RCA trends.
- Ensure readiness for audits (ISO, internal quality checks) and maintain compliant documentation.
Experience
Required Skills & Experience :
- 812 years in QA with 3+ years leading large teams as a QA Manager or Senior QA Lead.
- Proven success managing multi-product or high-transaction systems.
- Travel Tech or GDS experience is a strong plus and accelerates onboarding.
Technical & Domain Strength
- Strong command of SDLC, STLC, risk-based testing, and release workflows.
- Ability to design high-quality test strategies for complex product ecosystems.
- Comfortable collaborating with automation and performance teams to align quality outcomes.
Leadership & Communication
- Exceptional stakeholder management internal and customer-facing.
- Ability to manage escalations with calmness, clarity, and ownership.
