The responsibilities for this role include conducting extensive research on prospective clients, decision makers, and the technology landscape. You should be adept at researching client and company backgrounds through websites and social networking sites. It is essential to develop and maintain competitive knowledge on service offerings, industries, and products to effectively leverage in lead generation and research. Additionally, you will be expected to analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business leads. Formal sales presentations, follow-up calls to prospective business accounts, and networking to develop new business are crucial aspects of this role. You will also be responsible for making introductory calls, initiating the sales process, creating proposals, and following up on leads via email or phone. Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers, building a prospect database, and meeting or exceeding individual sales targets are key components of the role. Attendance at sales events and the ability to travel across the target market are required. Achieving the defined annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets is a primary objective. The ideal candidate for this position should be a graduate or under-graduate with 0-6 months of experience in IT sales. Excellent communication and relationship building skills are essential, along with a passion for sales. The ability to represent the company at appropriate business forums, work independently and in a team environment, and demonstrate high levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation are important qualities for this role.
