Job Summary: We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Hospitality Accountant to manage Financial operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate Tracking of revenue and expenses, compliance with industry regulations, and provide Financial insights to support business growth in the hospitality sector. Key Responsibilities: 1. Revenue and Expense Management: Monitor daily financial transactions, including room revenue, food &; beverage sales, and other departmental income. Manage accounts payable (vendor payments) and receivable (corporate accounts, event bookings). 2. Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile daily revenue reports with Point of Sale (POS) systems and property management systems (PMS). Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. 3. Cost Control: Track operational expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary controls. Analyze departmental profitability and identify areas for cost optimization. 4. Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Generate and analyze reports such as profit-and-loss statements, occupancy statistics, and food cost percentages. 5. Audit and Internal Controls: Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial documentation. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to prevent revenue leakages. 6. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts for hotel operations. Monitor variances and recommend corrective actions. Key Skills and Qualifications: • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Masters degree or CA preferred). • Experience: 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality sector. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in hospitality accounting software (e.g. Nimble, Inn-flow, QuickBooks). Advanced knowledge of MS Excel • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with hotel revenue management, POS systems, and occupancy metrics. Strong understanding of food cost accounting and inventory control. • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
