Hospital Pharmacist

A pharmacy job involves dispensing medications, ensuring prescription accuracy, and advising patients and healthcare professionals on drug use, dosage, and potential interactions. Key responsibilities include maintaining patient records, collaborating with doctors, administering vaccinations, and complying with legal and regulatory requirements for handling and storing pharmaceuticals. Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Dispensing Medication: Filling prescriptions accurately and dispensing appropriate dosages of drugs according to physician orders.
• Patient Counseling: Educating patients on how to take their medications safely and effectively, including information on side effects and storage.
• Interprofessional Collaboration: Consulting with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient prescriptions and ensure optimal treatment.
• Medication Safety: Reviewing prescriptions to check for potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications with existing conditions.
• Health Services: Providing health-related services such as administering immunizations and conducting health screenings.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of patient profiles, prescriptions, inventory, and other relevant data.
• Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all pharmacy operations adhere to legal standards and regulatory requirements for drug handling and disposal.
