Hospital Pharmacist

A hospital pharmacist ensures the safe and effective use of medications by managing procurement, dispensing, and distribution while collaborating with physicians and nurses on patient care. Their role extends to preparing individual medication plans, compounding specialized drugs, and counseling patients on their prescriptions. They are also responsible for inventory control, quality assurance, and participating in clinical trials and other hospital committees. Core responsibilities

• Medication management: Hospital pharmacists oversee the entire life cycle of drugs, including their procurement, storage, and dispensing.
• Clinical support: They work with doctors and nurses to select appropriate medications and dosages for patients, recommend the best form of medication (e.g., tablet, injection), and check for potential drug interactions or side effects.
• Patient care: They provide direct patient care by counseling patients on how to take their medications, monitoring treatment effectiveness, and obtaining medication histories.

• Medication safety and quality: They are involved in quality assurance, ensuring medications are stored and dispensed correctly, and contribute to medication safety initiatives.Specialized duties

• Compounding and manufacturing: They compound specialized medications when ready-made ones are not available.
• Formulator management: They help manage the hospital's list of approved drugs, considering factors like efficacy, safety, and cost.
• Clinical trials: They may set up and supervise clinical trials and contribute to research and development.
• Specialized care: They provide expertise in specialized areas like cancer treatments or emergency medicine.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
