The ideal candidate for this position should hold a PhD in Biotechnology or Biochemistry and possess 1 to 4 years of relevant experience. The annual salary will be as per market standards, and the job location is in Bengaluru. As a candidate, you will lead a team to successfully execute industrial and academic projects. It will be your responsibility to develop creative project plans for each project under your supervision. You should be proactive in troubleshooting any problems that may arise during experiments. Key skills required for this role include in-depth knowledge and expertise in Molecular biology, genetic engineering, protein expression, and purification. It is mandatory to have a basic understanding or experience in protein biochemistry and analytical techniques, while knowledge in biocatalysis is preferred. Operational familiarity with fermentors and homogenizers is essential. You must also be able to educate and train your team on the aforementioned subjects when necessary. Additionally, the candidate should have strong scientific writing abilities to compose research articles suitable for high-impact factor journals. Conducting thorough literature searches and enhancing existing techniques for better results are also part of the role. A collaborative and positive team spirit, coupled with independence in work, is crucial. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are highly valued.
