Home Care Worker

Specific Responsibilities:

• Personal Care:Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal hygiene tasks.
• Mobility Assistance:Helping clients move around their homes, including transferring from bed to chair, using mobility aids, and providing support during walking.
• Medication Management:Ensuring clients take their medications as prescribed, monitoring for side effects, and reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Meal Preparation:Planning and preparing meals that meet the client's dietary needs and preferences.
• Household Tasks:Performing light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying up.
• Companionship and Emotional Support:Providing conversation, engaging in activities, and offering emotional support to clients.
• Monitoring and Reporting:Observing and reporting any changes in a client's physical or mental health to family members or supervisors.
• Transportation:Assisting clients with transportation to medical appointments or other errands.
• Documentation:Maintaining accurate records of care provided and daily activities.
• Medication Management:Administering medications, monitoring for side effects, and ensuring compliance with care plans.
• Home Safety:Identifying and addressing potential safety hazards in the home environment.
• Communication:Communicating with family members, healthcare professionals, and other caregivers regarding the client's care.
