Position Overview

The Head of Department (HOD) – Sports will lead and manage the sports and physical education programs at Euro International School. This role involves designing curriculum, coaching students, organizing sports events, and developing the department to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive physical education curriculum aligned with school and board standards.
• Coach and mentor school sports teams across various disciplines.
• Organize and oversee inter-school, intra-school, and extracurricular sports events and competitions.
• Maintain and manage sports facilities, equipment, and inventory.
• Conduct physical fitness assessments and maintain health and progress records of students.
• Supervise and support sports and physical education staff.
• Promote participation in sports activities, encouraging holistic student development.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols during all sporting activities.
• Collaborate with other departments for interdisciplinary activities involving sports and health education.
• Prepare reports and plans for the sports department and present them to school leadership.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a physical education teacher or sports coach.
• Prior leadership or departmental coordination experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and event management skills.
• Knowledge of various sports and fitness training techniques.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students and staff.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to student safety and wellbeing.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
