Job Description

  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations, including production scheduling, resource allocation (manpower and equipment), and workflow optimization across SMT, MI, and PTH lines.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Engineering departments to resolve production bottlenecks, material shortages, and technical issues.
  • Manage the departmental budget, controlling manufacturing costs, material consumption (including material loss/throwing), and capital expenditure requests for new equipment or upgrades.
  • Establish and enforce stringent quality control protocols, ensuring all products meet internal quality standards and industry specifications (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001).
  • Lead and champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, 5S) to improve process yield, reduce defects, minimize rework, and enhance overall operational efficiency (OEE).
  • Direct process engineering activities, including machine programming (Pick-and-Place, AOI, SPI), reflow profile creation, stencil design review, and troubleshooting complex manufacturing defects.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing all EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols.
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of all SMT, MI, and PTH equipment (e.g., screen printers, reflow ovens, wave soldering machines, automated optical inspection/AOI systems) to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure accurate and updated documentation of all manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality records.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, supervisors, technicians, and operators.
  • Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and manage attendance and personnel issues within the department.
  • Identify training needs and organize technical and quality training (e.g., IPC certifications) to maintain a highly skilled workforce.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in electronics manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role over SMT/PCBA operations.
  • Proven hands-on experience and deep technical knowledge of SMT, Reflow Soldering, Wave Soldering, and Manual Insertion/Through-Hole processes.
  • Experience with AOI, SPI, and X-Ray inspection systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Expert knowledge of IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610).
  • Proficiency in SMT machine programming and optimization (e.g., Fuji, Yahama, Panasonic).
  • Strong understanding of electronic components, component packaging, and BOM (Bill of Materials) management.
  • Data analysis and reporting skills (e.g., SPC - Statistical Process Control).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
