Description Responsible for the overall building and facilities maintenance (Reliability, Performance, Cost, etc.) Responsible for ensuring compliance standards/laws of India. As the system being continuously evolving, becoming more complex and customised, great deal of test & verification are required. How You’ll Make An Impact You will be responsible for planning of control and protection systems for power electronic converter projects. You will focus on continuous improving GPQS Overall Control engineering tasks. You will be responsbile for Open loop controls application development and design using Compact control builder You will be responsible for SCADA / HMI application development using Micro SCADA / Zenon SCADA software. You will be responsible for design & develop a secured network overall architecture for PCS projects. You will be preparing the Template / Faceplate/ Popup creations in Micro SCADA / Zenon SCADA. Simulations of converter behaviour during grid disturbance. Verification of your software on the real-time simulator as well as in the project hardware. Besides bringing the software into service, you will operate specialist support for the service group as well as for the customer Technical co-ordinations with sub suppliers and multiple stakeholders in different locations & discuss with other departments / stakeholders to prepare the Division of works. You will be evaluating and strengthen the security of any connections to the DCS / SCADA / HMI network. Involved in FAT / SAT activities with along with sub suppliers. The Opportunity We seek a Control Design Engineer for power quality solutions mainly synchronous condenser with medium to high complexity. This function will include complete assignments on medium to large projects requiring engineering that is cost-effective and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. Based on technical specification from end customers and inputs from Operating Unit Engineering teams, it is required to prepare system Communication Block Diagram, Network topology, IP list, I/O signal list and Internal validation of RTU, PLCC based system. Furthermore, this function includes work on standard technical specifications for major equipment, providing input to R&D activities for plant base solutions. Cost awareness and carrying out comparisons between different solutions, bill of materials, RFQs, vetting of vendor offers, engineering hours estimation, technical risk assessment and opportunity evaluation is also required.
