How you’ll make an impact: You will be supporting Global Projects by adapting HVDC Cyber security for SCADA & HMI & developing architecture & functional descriptions for Functions / Solutions for future HVDC in cyber security technologies. Main Objectives The IT-OT Engineer for Renewable Sites will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and security of renewable energy plant operations. This position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining integrated systems that support the seamless operation of renewable energy sites, including wind, solar power plants. The engineer will ensure robust data communication, real-time monitoring, and control systems, while adhering to industry standards and best practices. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, IT-OT integration, and strong networking skills . Additionally, strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions are essential. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: System Monitoring and Maintenance: Oversee and optimize the technical IT-OT operations of renewable energy production infrastructures (solar, wind, etc.), ensuring efficient operations. SCADA Systems Management Ensure the proper follow-up on the maintenance plan for SCADA systems, including troubleshooting and managing issues related to cabling, optic fibre. Coordinate with O&M for the procurement and inventory of spare parts for IT and SCADA systems. IT System Management Provide level 1 proximity support on all IT-related issues, including user support for workstations, applications, networking and IT consumables. Manage the network configuration (switching, routing) and ensure the proper follow-up on the maintenance plan for industrial telecom systems. Responsible for the obsolescence follow-up process (including management and patching). Ensure the compliance of IT/OT-related contractors working on-site with ENGIE guidelines. Report any IT-OT related abnormalities, incidents, or process deviations spotted while monitoring the systems. Ensure that all IT/OT equipment (servers, control systems, SCADA, communication devices, etc.) complies with ENGIE and regulatory standards. Job responsibilities: • Understanding project requirements and completing all duties assigned by the Supervisor. • Participating in meetings and attending workshops and other training initiatives • Should design, implement, and test a wide range of I/O (HART, Modbus, FF, Profibus etc.), basic control functions, interlocks, sequences, operator interface and other control components on DCS and PLC. • Documenting the project control and safety functions, presenting them to the customer and get approval. • Preparing simulations, test scenarios, test documentation, and participates in customer Factory Acceptance Tests. • Actively participates in project meetings, discussion with customers, visiting sites and supporting commissioning activities • Should be able to troubleshoot the control and communication problems between different systems during FAT and at site. • Compiles and maintains project databases, configuration data, or other project information. • Compiles data and prepares reports for various activities such as customer proposals, FEED studies, project design documents, FAT and SAT procedures etc. Internal • Shall be capable to identify technical opportunities and economic justification for control system improvements and communicates those to the Project Manager and/or Sales.
