Job Summary

Provides dedicated support for HL7-based integration projects across Home Health platforms, including Epic, HCHB, and internal systems. This dual-role position combines business analysis and quality assurance responsibilities to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient data exchange between EMRs and backend systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clarify and document HL7 interface requirements for new integration requests.
• Analyze workflows and data mappings across Epic, HCHB, and other Home Health EMR systems.
• Collaborate with Integration Architects and the EMR Program Manager to define and validate HL7 message specifications (ADT, ORU, ORM, etc.).
• Work with developers to design, test, and implement HL7 system changes.
• Create and execute test plans for HL7 message validation.
• Troubleshoot HL7 message failures and recommend improvements for usability and accuracy.
• Coordinate UAT efforts with external partners and internal operational and IT stakeholders.
• Track progress against objectives and provide timely status updates.
• Create workflows and documentation to support integration efforts and facilitate rapid onboarding with external partners.
• Ensure compliance with corporate directives and healthcare data standards (e.g., HIPAA).

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 5+ years of wide-ranging experience including business analysis and quality assurance roles within Healthcare IT.

• Ability to create requirements, technical documentation, workflow diagrams, and test plans.

• Broad understanding of the DME business and cross-functional areas.
• Team player focused on high-quality outcomes.

Computer Skills

• Knowledge of HL7 message structure.
• Familiarity with Postman, API testing tools, Confluence and JIRA are a plus.
• Familiarity with SQL is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare experience preferred
• Experience with HL7 v2.x message types and EMR systems such as Epic and HCHB
