About this Role

This role focuses on designing and implementing strategic solutions for private cloud environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost efficiency. The individual will lead initiatives to enable DevOps practices, cloud-native application delivery, and automation frameworks, while maintaining compliance and security standards.

Who are you

• Experienced in designing and managing private cloud environments with a strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and CaaS models.
• Skilled in hypervisors (VMware, KVM), container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes), and orchestration tools.
• Familiar with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud integration.
• Proficient in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef).
• Knowledgeable in cloud security frameworks and integrating security controls into architectures.
• Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and lead change management initiatives.
• Minimum qualification: Grade 12 (essential) and a 3-year Bachelors Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent (preferable).
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in private cloud architecture, virtualization, and containerization.
• Exposure to cloud-native technologies, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation.

• Architect and guide application platform development within private cloud environments.
• Lead design and implementation of container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Design, implement, and maintain databases, ensuring integrity, security, and performance.
• Develop and enhance automation frameworks using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Establish standards, policies, and governance models for private cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform strategies with organisational objectives.
