Hiring For Surgery Coder - SDS

We are looking for an experienced Surgery Coder Same Day Surgery (SDS) to join our medical coding team. The candidate will be responsible for accurate coding of outpatient/same-day surgical cases using CPT 1-6 series while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and payer-specific requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform Same Day Surgery (Outpatient) coding for surgical cases.

• Assign accurate CPT codes (1-6 series), ICD-10-CM, and modifiers as applicable.

• Review operative notes and medical documentation for completeness and accuracy.

• Ensure adherence to AHIMA, AAPC, CMS, and payer guidelines.

• Maintain high accuracy and productivity standards.

• Identify and resolve coding discrepancies and denials.

• Work closely with QA and auditing teams for continuous quality improvement.

• Meet daily/weekly productivity targets within defined TAT.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of CPT 1-6 series

• Experience in Same Day Surgery / Outpatient Surgery coding

• Proficient in ICD-10-CM and modifiers

• Understanding of surgical anatomy and medical terminology

• Good attention to detail and analytical skills

Certification:

Mandatory CPC / CCS

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in US healthcare medical coding

• Hands-on exposure to multiple surgical specialties

• Immediate joiners preferred
