Hiring For SME/TL-Cash Applications

About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Subject Matter Executive (SME) in Accounts Receivable Cash Application to lead and optimize the cash application process. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate application of incoming payments, resolving discrepancies, and supporting process improvements across the AR function.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the subject matter expert for the end-to-end cash application process.
• Oversee daily cash application activities, including matching payments to customer accounts and invoices.
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of payments received via bank transfers, checks, credit cards, and lockbox.
• Investigate and resolve unapplied or misapplied payments, short payments, and deductions.
• Collaborate with collections, customer service, and billing teams to resolve payment issues.
• Analyze trends in unapplied cash and recommend process improvements.
• Support automation initiatives and ERP enhancements related to cash application.
• Maintain documentation of processes, controls, and training materials.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary reports and reconciliations

Candidate requirements:

• 46 years

  of experience in Accounts Receivable, with a focus on cash application. Strong understanding of AR processes, banking transactions, and reconciliation.

• ERP/Software Experience

  –S2K/Rossum/SAP/Oracle

• Skills

  –
• Strong Excel skills and experience with invoice automation tools. Any Visual basic or Macro skill are additional advantage
• Experience in a shared services or global finance environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and lead process improvement initiatives
