Job Description

Responsibilities:

Responsibility for Global Component Ownership of Starter Motors, Alternators, Relays, Sensors, etc.
Collect written or documented in other formats, component requirements based on feature/function/appearance requirements, and system/architecture/platform requirements.
Write and be responsible for the Technical Requirements Specification connected to the component (Starter Motors, Alternators, Relays, Sensors, etc) according to the elicited requirements.
Work together with Purchasing in the request for quotation and participate in the evaluation of technical solutions from the different suppliers and the selection of a supplier.
Participate in the decision of which quality tools to use and in the usage of these quality tools, e.g. FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis), RCA (Root Cause Analysis), PAA (Product Application Agreement), RTS (Review of Technical Specifications), etc., for the design and development of the component.
Experience in the verification and validation process for component development.
Interface to SQA: participate in PPAP(Production Part Approval Process).
Knowledge of communication protocols like CAN, LIN, Functional Safety ISO26262, Cyber Security ISO21434, and ASPICE ISO15504 implementation of Powertrain E&E component development.
Responsible for the design and development of the component w.r.t to the Technical Requirement with Quality, Delivery, Cost and Feature (QDCF).
Responsible for the Maintenance (Aftermarket) of the component w.r.t to the component life cycle.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Electrical/Electronics and Communication Engineering.
5-8 years experience in the design and development of starter motors and alternators
Strong truck application knowledge, with working experience with Powertrain Components like Starter Motors, Alternators, Relays, Sensors, etc.
Expert in Component development lifecycle.
Strong hands-on technical experience in Electrical/Electronic engineering and diagnostics.

Knowledge of Software, Functional development, Diagnostics, and System platform development will be an added advantage
