Job Title: SPEL Electrical Designer

SPEL System Management:

• Develop and maintain **electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts** using **SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL)**

• Create and manage **cable schedules, termination diagrams, and load lists** within SPEL database

• Ensure **data consistency and integrity** across all electrical design documents

• Generate **reports and material take-offs (MTO)** from SPEL system

Design & Drafting:

• Develop **single-line diagrams (SLD), schematic diagrams, and layout drawings**
• Create **cable routing diagrams, grounding layouts, and lighting system designs**
• Prepare **equipment location plans, cable tray layouts, and installation details**
• Coordinate with other disciplines for **electrical space allocation and cable routing**

Technical Expertise:

• Minimum **5 to 10 years** of hands-on experience in **SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL)** for oil & gas projects
• Strong knowledge of **electrical design standards** (IEEE, IEC, NEC, API)
• Experience in **hazardous area classification** and **EX-rated equipment selection**
• Familiarity with **electrical calculation tools** (ETAP, EDSA, SKM) is an advantage

  Technical Expertise:

• 8+ years

  in

  E&I Design

  for oil & gas, petrochemical, or fuel gas systems

  .
• Experience in

  EPC projects, FEED studies, or plant commissioning

  .

Software & Analysis:

• Expertise in S

  PEL, EPLAN(Added Advantage) , MS Office

• Familiarity with

  S3D/SP Review/ Navis Manage

  for 3D modelling review.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering with additional experience

Preferred Skills

• Experience in **complete electrical package design** (power distribution, motor control, lighting systems)
• Knowledge of **EPC workflows** for electrical systems in oil & gas plants
• Ability to **mentor junior designers** and review electrical drawings
• Familiarity with **3D model review** tools (Navisworks, SmartPlant Review)
• **Quality checking** of electrical deliverables
