RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and data engineers, to understand project requirements and functional specifications. Create and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on requirements. Identify, document, and track bugs using industry-standard tools. Ensure issues/tickets adhere to detailed criteria, leaving no room for ambiguity. Identify patterns of recurring bugs across different features/products and flag them for the team. Report on test progress, defects, and overall quality status. Participate in requirement reviews and provide input from a testing perspective. Continuously learn and enhance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Participate in code reviews to ensure testability and maintainability of the codebase. Investigate and reproduce reported issues and provide detailed reports to aid in debugging and resolution. Ideal Candidate Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 2-3 years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on manual testing, preferably with a product company Must have experience in software testing in the areas of SaaS microservices/API Testing Familiarity with bug tracking tools and test management software. Extensively worked on various Testing types such as Integration, System, Functional, Regression, Sanity, Smoke, User-interface (GUI) Testing, API Testing. Expertise in writing Test strategy, Test Plan Preparation and Implementation, Test Case Design, Test Tool usage, Test execution, Defect Management and Defect Tracking. Knowledge of SQL and MongoDB, as well as database testing is an advantage. Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
