As a member of the Hardware Board Design Team at Marvell, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining various components during the design phases. You will have the opportunity to work on next-generation SSD/HDD and Compute-based SoC products, platforms, and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Develop board and system level design specifications based on technical marketing requirements. - Define and architect the board and perform schematic capture. - Collaborate with silicon design, package team, and board CAD team for package ball assignments, board routing, and layer count optimization. - Conduct signal and power integrity simulations on high-speed serial interfaces. - Provide PCB layout constraints, stack-up details, and document board design guidelines. - Work closely with design engineers, firmware engineers, and software engineers for functional verification and debug activities. - Validate board design functionality and qualify high-speed interfaces based on SI/PI simulation results. - Offer reference platform design characterization and design guideline documentation for customers. - Review customer designs with FAEs and board layout group. - Collaborate with FAEs on customer issues, lead root cause analysis, and corrective actions for hardware design issues. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or ETC/E&TC. - Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years of experience or Master's degree with 2-5 years of experience in designing complex & dense boards for the client market using OrCAD tool. - Direct experience with DDR3/4, PCIe Gen3/4, SATA3, SPI, I2C interface design. - Hands-on experience with bus and network analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, TDR, and spectrum analyzers. - Expertise in 3D/2D EM simulation tools and transmission line theory. - Strong interpersonal, teamwork, verbal, and written communication skills. - Proficient in debug, analysis, problem-solving, and leading root cause analysis across teams. - Ability to work with a sense of urgency, accountability, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
