The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for performing finite element analyses using ABAQUS CAE Software, including pre-processing, solving, and post-processing tasks. You will be conducting steady state and transient thermal, structural, and thermo-mechanical analyses using ABAQUS CAE. In addition, you will need to understand and define contacts, conduct nonlinear analysis, vibration analysis, buckling analysis, etc., using ABAQUS. Analytical calculations of bolted/welded constructions will also be part of your responsibilities. It is essential to have a good grasp of high-cycle fatigue (HCF), low-cycle fatigue (LCF), creep, and fracture mechanics. You will be required to drive technical solutions, engage in reviews with internal and external customers, and prepare analysis reports and certification reports. Timely and high-quality deliveries for complex development projects will be a key focus. The successful candidate should possess a graduate/postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with 4 to 5 years of experience in finite element analysis (FEA), preferably in the turbomachinery domain. Strong fundamentals in Finite Element Methods and solid mechanics are required. Experience in performing static/dynamic, linear and non-linear thermal and thermo-mechanical analysis using ABAQUS Software is essential. Knowledge of performing low cycle fatigue, high cycle fatigue, and detailed fracture mechanics assessments will be an added advantage.
