You will oversee database installations, configurations, upgrades, patches, performance tuning, query optimization, and schema designs. Regular monitoring, health checks, and performance tuning are essential to uphold efficient database operations. Your expertise in backup and recovery strategies will be pivotal in safeguarding data integrity, with routine backups and disaster recovery tests to ensure resilience. Database security is a top priority, requiring your implementation of access controls, encryption, auditing measures, and addressing potential vulnerabilities and compliance issues. Troubleshooting and support are integral parts of your role, involving diagnosing and resolving database issues, providing technical guidance to development and operations teams, and ensuring efficient database design and integration based on application requirements.
