As the Lead/Principal Data Scientist at MakeMyTrip in Bangalore, you will play a crucial role in reimagining travel decisions with the power of AI. MakeMyTrip is an organization powered by AI/ML/Data/Platform and is shaping the future of travel for Bharat customers with GenAI-centric innovations. By leveraging Small Language Models (SLMs), Vernacular STT/TTS, and travel content systems, we aim to take our systems, chatbots, customer experience, and content to the next level of excellence. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and fine-tuning multilingual SLMs with advanced AI capabilities for various agentic applications in the travel domain. You will also build custom Natural Language Inference (NLI) models to enhance preference-based SLM training and improve multi-agent response quality. Developing active learning pipelines for NLP, Named Entity Recognition (NER), and domain-specific SLM training will be a key part of your role. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will drive the enhancement of conversational AI systems and ensure end-to-end quality assurance through robust integration and experience testing. Your expertise in NLP & NLI, conversational NLP systems, SLM adaptor fine-tuning, SFT training, and retriever frameworks in Q&A bots will be essential in scaling models to large search systems. As a mentor and guide, you will lead engineering teams in advanced SLM and Generative AI analytics, fostering growth and innovation. Your critical reasoning skills, data-centric NLP/NLI systems, and hunger to work in a fast-paced environment will be key assets in this role.
