As a Technical Account Manager (Senior Application Engineer) at AutoForm, your primary responsibility will be to provide expert consultation on sheet metal forming and Body in White (BiW) assembly processes in the automotive industry. Leveraging your deep knowledge and hands-on experience with simulation software, including AutoForm, you will support customers on technical matters and drive strategic business development initiatives at the management level. To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications: - Utilize AutoForm software proficiently to optimize stamping, die design, formability, and BiW assembly processes for automotive clients. - Engage in technical account management for OEMs and Tier One suppliers, establishing relationships with decision-makers. - Conduct advanced training, workshops, and software demonstrations, both in-person and online. - Collaborate with the sales team to address customer needs, provide pre-sales support, and contribute to strategic planning. - Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on AutoForm modules, offering on-site/remote support and conducting root cause analysis. - Lead business development initiatives, including identifying market opportunities and fostering executive partnerships. - Participate in software testing, installations, trade shows, blogs, and global knowledge sharing activities. The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Manufacturing Engineering. - Minimum of 12 years of experience in sheet metal forming, BiW assembly, FEA, die design, or related automotive fields. - Hands-on experience with AutoForm software is essential; proficiency in other simulation tools may also be considered. - Expertise in Stamping processes, BiW assembly processes, hot forming, hemming, hydroforming, and quality assessments. - Strong communication, presentation, and business skills; familiarity with CAD software like CATIA and NX is preferred. - Willingness to travel extensively within India, with occasional international trips. - Motivated to thrive in an innovative, small-company environment.
