Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer Job Summary: A Technical Sales Engineer combines technical knowledge with sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of products and services. They are key points of contact for clients and provide both pre- and post-sales support. They work closely with the engineering and sales teams to meet client requirements and ensure customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Understand customer needs and provide suitable technical solutions. Explain product features and benefits to customers, often with technical demonstrations or presentations. Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, R&D, production) to customize products as per client needs. Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements. Negotiate contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs. Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education. Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other events. Create technical documentation, proposals, and reports. Provide post-sales support, training, and ongoing assistance to clients. Keep up to date with industry trends, competitors, and technological developments. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field). Strong understanding of technical products and services. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical audiences. Sales-driven with good negotiation and closing skills. Willingness to travel as needed.
