Job Summary: We are seeking experienced Safety Officers with a strong background in heavy engineering industries to oversee and ensure the highest safety standards across operations. The role is contractual for 6 months and requires individuals who can actively manage safety protocols across shifts. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and enforce safety procedures related to: Contractor Safety Management, Lifting Operations, Working at Height, Heavy Welding,Grinding, Shot Blasting & Heat Treatment Implement and manage the Work Permit System effectively. Conduct Risk Assessments and ensure hazard identification & mitigation. Perform regular Safety Audits , Safety Inspections , and ensure compliance with industry safety norms. Deliver Tool Box Talks , Safety Trainings , and promote a culture of safety. Monitor and drive Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) initiatives. Liaise with contractors and in-house teams to ensure all safety procedures are understood and followed. Required Skills & Experience: Minimum 4 Years of relevant experience in a heavy engineering manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of contractor safety management and hazardous operations. Proficiency in: Risk assessment methodologies Work permit systems Conducting trainings and safety meetings Statutory and legal compliance related to safety Certification in Industrial Safety (preferred).
