Heavy driver

You will be a valuable addition to our logistics team as a Heavy Driver, where your primary responsibility will be the safe and efficient transportation of goods using heavy vehicles. Your role will involve adhering to traffic laws, company policies, and delivery schedules, emphasizing the importance of safety and excellent driving skills. A good understanding of vehicle maintenance will also be essential in this role. Your key responsibilities will include operating heavy vehicles safely and efficiently, transporting goods to designated locations, ensuring proper loading and unloading procedures, conducting vehicle inspections, reporting any issues, maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle, following assigned routes and delivery schedules, communicating delays or changes, maintaining accurate trip records and documentation, assisting with loading and unloading, and performing minor roadside adjustments or repairs when necessary. To qualify for this position, you must possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License, a clean driving record, and the ability to read and understand maps and GPS devices. Skills required for this role include excellent driving and maneuvering abilities, a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, adherence to safety protocols, good time management, effective communication, and physical fitness for long hours of driving and manual labor. Personal attributes such as reliability, punctuality, discipline, safety-consciousness, responsibility, trustworthiness, patience, calmness under pressure, good judgment, and decision-making abilities are highly valued in this role.
