As a Converter Operator, your main responsibility will be to oversee the complete operation of the LD Converter during shifts. You will be tasked with tasks such as sampling, temperature measurement, efficient intermediate deslagging, and ensuring no metal is drained to the Slag Pot. It will be your duty to handle all operations related to the converter, including tilting for tapping, HM & scrap charging, signaling the crane operator, and cleaning mouth jam using the Debricking Machine. Additionally, you will be responsible for tap hole sleeve drilling during sleeve change and maintaining the converter free of jams by using oxygen lancing. Coordinating with the Ferro Alloy Stores to ensure a healthy stock of ferro alloys, fluxes, and other consumables will also fall under your purview. Furthermore, keeping the working area slag-free, monitoring converter refractory lining progress during campaign repairs, and planning gunning and other preventive maintenance to ensure the healthiness of the converter lining will be crucial aspects of your role. In the position of LHF Operator, you will be in charge of the complete operation of the LHF during shifts. Your responsibilities will include having knowledge of heat processing for various types of steel, making quick decisions to maintain caster sequence, managing stock of ferro alloys and consumables, performing electrode/top lance change and adjustment, understanding steel ladle maintenance, and monitoring ladle refractory, heating, and gunning activities. As a Pouring Station / KR Operator, your primary duty will be to oversee the complete operation of the KR & Torpedo Pouring Station during shifts. You will be responsible for tasks such as sampling, temperature measurement, efficient slag raking, ensuring no metal is drained into the slag pot, performing operations at the KR / Pouring Station, cleaning mouth jam of HM ladle, maintaining housekeeping of the working area, and monitoring the availability of HM ladles by planning jam cleaning, gunning, and heating activities in the shift. In the role of RH Operator, you will be responsible for the complete operation of RH during shifts. Your duties will include having knowledge of heat processing for different types of steel, making quick decisions to maintain caster sequence, managing stock of ferro alloys and consumables, understanding RH vessel exchanging and maintenance, and monitoring RH vessel refractory, heating, and gunning activities. Manage the steel production process from induction furnace to LRF, including secondary steel making via EAF (35 MT), LRF, and Vacuum Degassing (VD) units. Develop and execute processes for different grades through AOD furnace. Control the heat processing operations according to ISO/TS standards.
