Position Overview: We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Senior Vice President – Business Development to lead and expand our late-phase clinical trial services portfolio. This executive role is pivotal in driving strategic partnerships, accelerating business growth, and positioning our organization as a trusted global partner for Phase IIb–IV clinical research, real-world evidence (RWE), and post-marketing studies. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of developing business within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and CRO sectors, coupled with deep expertise in late-phase clinical development, patient-centric research, and evidence generation. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Define and execute the global business development strategy for late-phase clinical trials, aligned with corporate objectives. Identify new growth opportunities across pharma, biotech, and healthcare partners, including integrated evidence generation programs. Build and manage a high-performance BD team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and client excellence. Business Development & Partnerships Develop and maintain senior-level client relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies. Lead high-value deal structuring, contract negotiations, and long-term strategic partnerships. Drive revenue growth through innovative service offerings in Phase IIIb–IV trials, registries, observational studies, and RWE programs. Represent the company at global industry forums, conferences, and advisory panels to strengthen brand visibility. Operational & Financial Accountability Own BD revenue targets, pipeline management, and forecasting accuracy. Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Data Science teams to design and position differentiated late-phase solutions. Ensure alignment between business development initiatives and operational delivery capabilities. Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and client needs to inform service innovation. Qualifications & Experience: 18+ years of progressive business development experience in CRO, pharma, or biotech , with at least 8+ years in leadership roles. Demonstrated success in securing and managing large, multi-year late-phase trial programs . Strong understanding of Phase IIb–IV trials, real-world evidence (RWE), HEOR, registries, market access, and post-marketing safety requirements . Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing BD organizations globally. Established network with senior decision-makers across top pharma and biotech companies. Advanced degree (MBA, MSc, PhD, or MD preferred) in life sciences, business, or related field. Core Competencies: Visionary leadership with ability to influence at the C-suite level.
