Head - Taxation & Compliance

Role Overview: You will be responsible for handling all direct and indirect tax-related returns and compliance within their respective due dates. Your key responsibilities will include filing various tax-related forms on time, staying updated with new rules and amendments in the indirect tax act, and vetting business agreements to insert correct tax clauses. Additionally, you will need to interact with external consultants to resolve business issues and calculate tax liabilities as required. Key Responsibilities: - Complete all direct and indirect tax-related returns and compliance within due dates - Ensure timely and correct filing of all returns - Stay updated with new rules and amendments in the indirect tax act - Conduct departmental visits as required for inquiries, audits, notices, queries, etc. - File returns related to NSSO / ASI on time - Vet business agreements and insert correct tax clauses - Interact with external consultants to resolve business issues - Apply LDC/ TRC on a timely basis - Calculate direct and indirect tax liability as needed - Explain tax provisions to the account/business team regularly - Resolve issues individually or with external consultants - Implement new systems for faster work and turnaround time Qualification Required: - Knowledge of Indian Tax laws and procedures - Experience in handling taxation software, ERP systems, and Excel - Familiarity with taxation websites and ASP GSP software,
