Head of Technology - Software Engineering

Role Overview You are the Head of Technology responsible for leading a team of talented engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions. This hands-on leadership role requires a combination of deep technical expertise, team mentorship, and project ownership. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to architect and deliver robust systems that drive impactful change. Key Responsibilities - Lead the design, development, and deployment of modern, cloud-native applications. - Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and system architectures. - Ensure adherence to best coding practices, performance optimization, and security standards. - Conduct regular code reviews, mentoring sessions, and architecture discussions with the team. - Drive continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) using tools like Git, Docker, and AWS. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as QA, DevOps, and Product Management to ensure seamless delivery. - Take ownership of project timelines, quality metrics, and client communication. - Research and integrate new technologies to enhance efficiency and product capabilities. - Mentor junior developers and support their technical and career growth. Qualifications Required - Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with a minimum of 2 years in a technical or team leadership role. - Proven expertise in React (JavaScript/TypeScript), Python, and AWS technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, etc.). - Strong understanding of software architecture, microservices, and API design (REST/GraphQL). - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and containerization using Docker. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-first mindset. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. - Ability to inspire, mentor, and guide a high-performing engineering team.,
