Head of Sports Science & Medical

As the Head of Sports Science & Medical at AIFF, your role will be crucial in establishing a sports science and medical department. Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing sports science and medical aspects for AIFF, National teams, clubs/academies, and Centres of Excellences. You will be required to prepare guidelines and SOPs for comprehensive medical care for members of the National Football Teams and tournaments. Key Responsibilities: - Establish a sports science and medical department at AIFF. - Plan and implement sports science and medical aspects for AIFF, National teams, clubs/academies, and Centres of Excellences. - Prepare guidelines and SOPs for comprehensive medical care for National Football Teams and tournaments. - Provide emergency care and long-term supervision for optimal physical restoration of team members. - Supervise medical staff to ensure excellence in care during training camps and competitions. - Conduct pre-competition medical assessments of players. - Manage on-field medical situations and administer first aid procedures. - Provide clinical advice and guidance to staff based on clinical diagnoses and medical decisions. - Ensure compliance with Covid protocols and act as the lead medical response coordinator if cases arise. - Submit health monitoring and medical reports to AFC/FIFA as required. - Maintain medical reports of team members. - Ensure athletes receive necessary dietary patterns for performance optimization, disease prevention, and health improvement. - Adhere to World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) principles and regulations. Qualifications Required: - Post-Graduate Degree or Diploma in Sports Medicine (NMC recognized) after MBBS. - 5-7 years of relevant experience. - Prior experience as a Team Doctor with National teams/ISL/I League teams. Additional Details: - Good interpersonal and articulate communication skills are essential. - Availability for immediate joining is required. - Proficiency in English and Hindi (written and spoken) is mandatory.
